Earlier, a person could chose only from two or three models and if he wanted something else it had to be imported or to be bought from customs. But, now new segments have emerged and there is a large variety from people can chose. Out of these the mid size cars are also termed as family cars. Five people can comfortable sit in the mid-size cars. There are a few mid size cars in India which are mentioned below.
Hyundai Santro gained huge popularity in India. Hyundai has also produced other good models which were successful enough. But, Hyundai’s mid size model is Hyundai Verna which gives tough competition to all other mid size models. Though it may not be attractive but still is great when it comes to performance. Maruti is the oldest company which has also contributed greatly to the Indian car market. Maruti 800 created magic in the ‘80s. Similarly, Maruti Swift Dzire, who has been creating in ‘00s.This car is prominently seen on the roads. Maruti Swift Dzire works exactly like Maruti Swift but it is just the mid size version of the latter.
Fiat is again a very old company in the Indian Car Industry. The USP of this company is that it offers its customers value for money and the ultimate quality. Fiat has recently launched FIAT Linea. This is the cheapest car compared to others in this segment. Volkswagen is the latest entrant in the Indian Car market. Only few models have been launched in each category and Volkswagen Jetta has made its entry in the mid size car segment. On first look it seems bigger than it actually appears and is also designed creatively.
