Everybody has a dream car which he/she would like to buy one day. But, these days when the earnings may not be sufficient it becomes difficult to fulfill your dream to buy car of your dreams. A cheap car may be affordable but that won’t be the one you must have dreamt of. But, you can buy your dream car with the help of many loans facilities available these days. These days it is common to borrow a sum from the bank during the purchase of a car.

Still, any type of loan to be taken requires cash. But, special car loans are specially designed for that purpose. It is easier to borrow money and repay your loan. Certain conditions would have to be fulfilled before you receive your amount. You will also have to submit a few documents to prove that you are eligible for the loan. But, these loans are much better and safer than the other general loans.

Selection of a car loan lender must not be taken lightly. Interest rates differ from lender to lender. Research a lot and shortlist the lenders which provide you with the lowest rate of interest and EMI. But, do not ignore the extra hidden costs or fees. Once you have short listed, contact each lender and get information from each of them personally.

Acquire all the information in detail. Beware there are certain lenders whose EMI charges and interest rates would be very low but at the same time their processing fees would be very high. There are many types of loans available, out of which you can consult your lender and choose which one suits your need. You may opt for variable interest rate loan if you strongly feel that the rates would go down in near future. But, if you don’t want to take the risk then opting for a fixed rate loan would be recommendable.

In today’s world most of the people have access to internet. This makes comparing cars easier. Previously, people used to rely on their friends’ and relatives’ recommendation on which car to buy. Earlier, the media industry was not as developed as it is now. Doordarshan was the only channel at that time and did not broadcast any programs on auto industry. New automobile launches were not covered by the newspapers as well. There were no magazines which were completely devoted to auto industry. There was no other source of information when a person wanted to buy a car. This left the buyers with very few options and there was absolutely no competition in the market.
The auto industry gained importance and started growing after the year 1990. There were many auto companies which came into existence and tough competition was seen in the market. Many new cars were launched on a regular basis from then on. Many companies like Ford, Hyundai, Honda, Toyota, Mahindra, Maruti, etc. are present in the market now. The buyer now has many options to choose from. The latest entrant is the new Volkswagen Beetle.

Media houses were inspired by this economic liberalization and also started launching new products which were related to the industry. Now, there are many magazines which completely focus on the automobiles industry. Even, the newspapers have now started covering events and news which are related to the industry. Due, to this the buyer is now aware that which car provides what kind of facility.

Many websites keep themselves updated with latest news and information on all the cars in the industry. You can also compare cars and research about various cars via these websites. This would provide you with a clear idea as in which car to buy eventually. You can compare cars by their mileage, engine, accessories, fuel tank capacity, price, and other characteristics. With all these facilities, the buyer can make right choices for himself as per his needs.

The demand of used cars has risen recently because even the middle class families now aspire to have their own cars. Due to this, many OEMs have entered in the used car market. It has now begun to be very organized. Many luxury car makers are making an entry in the pre-owned auto market while other existing manufacturers are expanding their business by increasing new outlets.

Changing lifestyle of Indians, user choice, favorable demographics, etc. are a few reasons why this used car segment is growing rapidly. Also, the availability of loans on used cars has become much easier. Many online portals have also contributed in explaining the buyers on the viability o buying used cars. The main challenge which this market is facing is the emergence of new cheap cars.

85% of the used car market is still highly unorganized. The main role is played by a car agent who is the link between the buyers and the sellers. It is actually risk buying car via these agents because they can swap the original and genuine parts with sub standard, cheap and duplicate parts. This increases their profit margin.

Lot of hype was created last year since the Rs. 1 lakh Tata Nano was launched. By end of this year the used Nano would enter the second hand car market. This would be available at a very cheap price. This would further prove to be a boost for the used car market in India. As per one of the leading consumer portal, in a month they receive approximately 25,000 used car queries. Out of these 40% of the people actually buy cars. Around 65% of cars used by people in Delhi, Jaipur, Haryana, Banglore and other major Indian cities are used. With the help of online portals, people are provided with excellence guidance for which car to buy.

The dawn of technology and awareness in India has brought many changes in the business world also. Customers have become choosier about their products and services and hence, new and unique products and services have sprung in the market. In this growth, a new car segment was seen growing in India i.e. the mid size car segment.

Earlier, a person could chose only from two or three models and if he wanted something else it had to be imported or to be bought from customs. But, now new segments have emerged and there is a large variety from people can chose. Out of these the mid size cars are also termed as family cars. Five people can comfortable sit in the mid-size cars. There are a few mid size cars in India which are mentioned below.

Hyundai Santro gained huge popularity in India. Hyundai has also produced other good models which were successful enough. But, Hyundai’s mid size model is Hyundai Verna which gives tough competition to all other mid size models. Though it may not be attractive but still is great when it comes to performance. Maruti is the oldest company which has also contributed greatly to the Indian car market. Maruti 800 created magic in the ‘80s. Similarly, Maruti Swift Dzire, who has been creating in ‘00s.This car is prominently seen on the roads. Maruti Swift Dzire works exactly like Maruti Swift but it is just the mid size version of the latter.

Fiat is again a very old company in the Indian Car Industry. The USP of this company is that it offers its customers value for money and the ultimate quality. Fiat has recently launched FIAT Linea. This is the cheapest car compared to others in this segment. Volkswagen is the latest entrant in the Indian Car market. Only few models have been launched in each category and Volkswagen Jetta has made its entry in the mid size car segment. On first look it seems bigger than it actually appears and is also designed creatively.

In the year 2008 there was a drastic change which was brought in the Indian Car Industry. There were 35 SUVs introduced in that year. Before this the Indian customers didn’t get so many choices whereas SUVs were concerned. The SUV markets has risen after the year 2007 when there were total 3.5 lakh SUVs sold in India.

India has not only welcomed just entry-level utility vehicles like Mahindra Bolero or Tata Sumo Grande but also elegant SUVs like BMW X5 and VX Tiguan. The lifestyle of the Indian people is changing along with increasing economy. SUVs are the best option when it comes to family trips and long drives.

This provides varieties to the Indian people who have sedans running on the roads for a long time. Honda CR-V with its stylish look and cozy interiors had attracted many Indians. Two types of engines are available in India, a 2.0-litre i-VTEC that delivers 141 bhp and a 2.4-litre i-VTEC that beats upto 161 bhp. Other SUVs such as Mitsubishi Pajero, Nissan X-Trail and Chevrolet Captiva are also available in India. But, they are not as successful as Honda CR-V, though Chevrolet Captiva seems to be promising.

For the bumpy roads in India, Tata and Mahindra have contributed many SUVs. They are the leaders in this segment. The most successful SUV o Mahindra is Mahindra Scorpio. With its tough look, it was one of the most prominent choices of each car buyer then. Another SUV which gained huge popularity in small towns specially was Tata Safari. Tata Sumo Grande was launched looking at Tata Safari’s success.

Other cars such as Suzuki Grand Vitara, Hyundai Tucson and Ford Endeavour are still trying to reach to the masses. Recently, Volvo launched its XC-90 series for buyers are class-loving. There are other SUVs for the people who have exclusive taste, such as BMW X5, Audi Q7 and Porsche Cayenne SUVs.

The market of second hand cars in India is very large. With the help of internet, selling your coupe has become very easy. In this used car segment, many Indian automobile manufacturers have started venturing. Sale of second hand cars has gained popularity due to its authorized certification by many auto companies.

Your car can be sold in two ways in India. First way is that you can sell your car with the help of a dealer for which you would have o pay him commission. And he other way is that you can directly sell it. But, for this you have to attend many calls and the negotiation is also to be done by yourself only.
To sell your car in India, pricing it reasonably is the key tactic. No standard is fixed for sale of second hand cars. It can totally depend upon your car’s condition, mileage, demand of the model and maintenance history. You can get an idea at which price to sell your car by researching local newspapers for their ongoing prices. Because the higher your price there are less chances of getting it sold. Always clean the car from outside as well as inside since it would give a clean and neat look which would appeal the buyers.

Just give touch up to minor scratches or dents. There is a possibility of quicker sales due to this. These days most of the people have access to internet. You can advertise either in a newspaper or online classifieds. Just mention the color, condition, mileage, engine type, additional accessories if any, etc. Also, mention whether it is being sold through a dealer or by he owner. Generally, ads with sale by owner get good response in India.

It is advisable to not allow strangers to visit your home. If some buyers want to test drive your car, just be aware since car thefts are common in India. Driving license and insurance proofs needs to be checked.

There is a rapid growth in the Indian car market. It is already gaining recognition worldwide and is yet to see more growth in the years to come. Because of this there is high ownership capacity, rise in income levels, change in lifestyle, low interest rates, availability of more and more varieties of car models, etc. Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai Motors and Tata motors are the top three car makers in India who dominate the Indian Car market.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited was initially known as Maruti Udyog Limited when formed in the year 1981. This company started in 1996 and is a sub-division of a South Korean multi national company. Some of the top models of this company are Santro, i10, i20, Accent, Verna, Sonata and Tucson. It is the largest exporter in India. It currently markets over 34 passenger cars all over India.

The third topmost car maker in India is Tata Motors which was initially known as TELCO (TATA Engineering and Locomotive Company). In the year 2008 after its acquisition of British automotive brands like Jaguar and Land Rover, it earned revenue of 16 billion USD. When it comes to commercial cars, Tata Motors is the best car manufacturer. The latest launch of Tata Motors is TATA Nano which is Rs. One lakh car. This attracts the middle class and also fulfills their dream of buying a car.

Recently, there are three new cars which have hit the Indian roads. Here’s a quick look on their performance, looks, features, etc.

The first one is Ford Figo. It has an amazing hatchback system which gives all other cars run for money. Though the overall look is pretty sleek and cool. In the small car segment it is one of the best cars. It is really attractive because of its chic and slender appearance. This car has specially been designed for Indian roads. Hence, it gives you a smooth and comfortable drive. There are total 8 variants of petrol and diesel with this car. It gives an average of 10.9 and 15.4 kmpl on the city roads and highways respectively.

The next one is the Volkswagen Polo. In the year 2009, this car was the European Car of the Year. The car is available in 6 colors and also available in petrol and diesel variants. This flashy car has a 5-speed manual gearbox which allows quick and smooth shifts. It is built in with advanced technologies for the safety of the passengers. On city roads and highways it gives a mileage of 13.7 and 22.2 kmpl respectively.

Nissan 370Z has the largest engine as compared to any other Z-class cars. The features are similar to any other Z car. Its organic design of long nose, macho fenders, etc. gives the car a taste of accuracy. This two-seater spots coupe has access to all the latest technology and is very attractive. In India it is available in two variants i.e. Touring Coupe AT and MT. It comes in eight attractive colors and a couple of color options for the leather in the interiors. The only shortcoming for this car could be its very high price in spite of its amazing features.
